PC softwares

Clients softwares

The Clients can call a server. They work in Peer To Peer mode on the Pulbic Switched Telephone Network or any communication network.
The basic version has a Modem Manager and is capable to call a server.
Basically the peer to be called shall have a Trakian running in server mode. Any Trakian can do this. So a 'client' shall call a 'server' and deposit messages in a mailbox or connect to any server existing in the callee's system.
Using the Trakian'technic, a "server" is simply a Manager like many other running. For example a first Manager receiving a call shall be an authorization Manager. This one when receiving a call shall check if the caller is agreed.
The protocol of this Manager uses a challenge and never a password shall be exchanged on the network. More precisely the protocol used shall be CHAP normally, PAP or anyother if the system is programmed for or the caller is agreed to use this protocol.

Due to the Manager Technic, a Trakian, server or client, has most of the same Managers. A server system can have different "servers" has defined by the Internet protocols. A main server receiving a call shall connect the caller to the "server" he wants. Are existing SMTP, POP3, HTTP, FTP, ....

For a specific application, its just to develop a "server" for and any application becomes possible. But most of the Managers shall stay the same, the customer needs only to concentrate on HIS application, using all existing Managers.

Trakian LC

Transfers files between two PC's using the ZModem protocol through COM port. The choice of the actual COM port (COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4) is made during the initialization procedure.
This version is free to download and for a private use. It must be registered for professional use.
The LC, due to his size can easily serve in a private networking systems or for local connections between a central system and peripherals connected to it.
For example it can be used in a system to connect for example a printer, an external modem, or terminals. In this configuration, the central system contains for example files to be uploaded by peripherals.

Trakian ZERA

Enables attaching files when transfers files in e-mail format between two PC's via public telephone network using ZModem protocol. The program works in foreground mode, but is "awaken" when a ring is detected, then it starts automatically to receive or to send files.
A Zera contains an authentifier system. It can so authorize a caller to connect and send/receive Emails. But it has only one Mailbox.

BASIC Trakian

* all sizes are for PC-DOS versions

The basic version can include:

  • Interrupt Manager
  • Kernel Manager
  • Memory Manager
  • IO Manager
  • Timer Manager
  • Scheduler
  • File System Manager
  • SMTP server
  • SMTP CLient
  • POP3 server
  • POP3 client
  • IP manager
  • TCP Manager
  • MD5 Manager
  • Base64 Manager
  • Authorization Manager
  • .....
The complete version including all of the above is less than 60 Kbytes when compiled in ANSI C for a PC.
This version is portable to any microprocessor having an ANSI C compiler.
Depending of the communication protocole used, some versions can also have Lain server/client, controlling the caller and the authorization of.
A Manager can be unloaded from the RAM when not used and can automatically reload if another Manager call it. When the Memory Manager has not enough space to allocate for a request, the kernel shall try to unload whose Managers not needed and not locked.
But in all cases, any Manager unloaded shall automatically reload if it is called. So no crash shall result. It results that all Managers can make any call to any other without the programmer needing to take in mind any knowledge of the presence/absence of what shall be needed to run the progam.

Trakian is oriented "Network" and run exchanging messages between the Managers. Trakian can so run on multiprocessors systems, and Managers can be installed on any of the processors. The system shall take in charge the repartition of the Managers in the availlable memory space or the availlable computing power. The limit is to run a single Manager on any processor of the system.

When needing, for systems having much RAM, Trakian can upload the Managers he needs from a library. Some versions are also capable to save portions of code or datas to a library and reload them when needed. If not enough RAM is existing in the system, Trakian shall save the Managers in a cache memory and take in charge the management of. And this shall also reload the cached datas.

Being a multitasking system, only the Managers whose need to be run shall be "resident". But this not requires they must be present at the same time in memory. Because if the kernel needs some Manager not present in memory, he shall load/reload it from the library or the cache. Many versions of the Library Manager are exiting, for RAM, EPROM or Disk files. Depending of the cache and the library the loading of a Manager can ofcourse need a different amount of time. But in all cases, due to the size of the programs and datas, the time is needed to load/reload a Manager is very small, largely faster than most operating system needs to swap between tasks. So Trakian can run on systems where not any other OS can. And in all cases it shall load, start, run and swapt the tasks much faster than any competitor.
And this not needs the programmer to take it in account. Because he can be SURE the kernel shall load any software needed to run correctly.
