Wap In 1998 it was a specification of Nokia-Motorola-Ericson intented to use HTML on GSMs. So it is targeted to small devices and low bandwith network. The main goal being to navigate easily in sites organized in small pages, fast to load and using few memory space. In july 98 Nokia has discovered that Charlie (Download) was complete, running and... WAP inside. In 2003 WAP is still not much used. A reason being that such sites should be more usefull for small enterprises with servers easy to access by the owner of the site, for example on inhouse servers. This is exactly what Trakian can do. Trakian can be a very small system with HTTP server delivering WAP sites and accessible through the PSTN. Trakian can use P2P technics between Trakian systems, but it can use WAP for other systems.
